Create Lead When Form Submits

Add a lead creation step to your existing form workflow so every submission automatically generates a trackable lead in your pipeline.

Prerequisites​

Steps​

  1. Go to Workflows and open your "Contact Us Form Submission" workflow.

  2. Below the Send WhatsApp action, click the + icon and select Create Lead.

  3. Configure the lead settings:

    • Stage — select the pipeline stage for new leads
    • Source (optional) — set to "Website Contact Form" to track where leads come from

  4. Click Save, then ensure the workflow is published and click Save again.

Test​

  1. Submit your form with test data.
  2. Verify all three steps work:
    • Contact appears in Contacts
    • WhatsApp message received
    • Lead appears in Leads with the correct stage

Troubleshooting​

Lead not created?

  • Verify the workflow includes the Create Lead action and is published
  • Ensure you selected a valid pipeline stage
  • Wait up to 1 minute and refresh the Leads page

Lead missing information?

  • Review custom field mappings in the Create Lead action settings

Lead in wrong stage?

  • Edit the Create Lead action, select the correct stage, and republish
